LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say an experimental aircraft with one person aboard crashed into a house and started a fire near the North Las Vegas Airport.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the rear-propeller Velocity 173 RG aircraft crashed about 6:30 a.m. Friday, shortly after taking off from the airport.

LAS VEGAS—A German businessman of Syrian descent has sued federal and city law enforcement officials, alleging they mistreated him after a December 2006 arrest at the Las Vegas airport and tried to coerce him into spying for the United States in his home country.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — An experimental aircraft crashed into a house shortly after takeoff Friday, killing two people and critically injuring a third as the home burst into flames, authorities said.
It appeared the dead were the pilot and one person in the house, said a deputy fire chief, Kevin Brame. Another person in the house was taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas in critical condition, he said.
