Some meals, snacks dropped by United
United Airlines, struggling to curb losses from fuel prices, will become the first U.S. carrier to stop serving free meals in the coach cabin of some overseas flights.
Instead, United will offer food that can be purchased aboard trips from its European "gateway" airport, Washington's Dulles International, starting Oct. 1, spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said.

German man sues after arrest at Vegas airport - San Jose Mercury News

LAS VEGAS—A German businessman of Syrian descent has sued federal and city law enforcement officials, alleging they mistreated him after a December 2006 arrest at the Las Vegas airport and tried to coerce him into spying for the United States in his home country.
